Latest Notice - Up to date important information about the site

UPDATE 23 JUNE 2020: We will be open from July 4th. Ablutions available, however if you have your own facilities on board we respectfully ask you to use these instead of overloading our ablutions. This will be a high risk area....minimum usage please.
WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT NON BOOKED GUESTS. Our gates will be closed out of hours.

IMPORTANT PLANNING UPDATE: THE ANGLERS ARMS WILL NOT BE OPENING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Please bring your own tipple. We ask all visitors to respect both the site and your fellow campers by not being one of those persons that once outside and laced with alcohol becomes an instant A-hole. You get the drift.
Bike hire available, no cafe service in the Castle, no shops in the area. Nearest Shops: Bellingham or Newcastleton.
Fuel available from our self service chip and pin fuel station. [No other services on the site.]
Ralf our Heritage woodturner will be available next to the fuel pumps for craft purchases only. No other produce held or sold in his workshop....he's asked me to repeat.....no other produce held or sold in his workshop

*FAQ: I don't know when I can come again?
Answer: No problems whatsoever, we will honour whatever date you pick, even next year or the one after. [Subject to availability]
*FAQ: I booked with a tent, can I change the accommodation?
Answer: No problem, we'll transfer any monetary value to the new pitch, pod or caravan selected. We are extremely flexible.
*FAQ: Can my friend have it instead?
Answer: Yes, As long as they are as nice as you. just quote the unique reference number.
Not so FAQ : Can I bring my pet crocodile?
Answer: No.
*FAQ: I'm booked in for the Dirty Reiver, will my booking move across to the new date?
Answer: Yes. This will be done automatically when the new dates are agreed.

*FAQ: I don't want to transfer dates....I want a full refund.
Answer: Regrettably because we were closed by the Government, Force Majeur comes into force with our T's and C's. If you have travel insurance, use this to effect a refund and infom us. However, we have done the best from a bum deal...transferred the pitch to a date, you can pick, in the future. This is not perfect, but it's a meeting in the middle. This is clearly not a 'one size fits all' solution.

*FAQ: Even if restrictions are lifted I am vulnerable. I do not want to visit and will need to cancel my booking. Can I still transfer dates to an indefinite period.
Answer: Yes. No problems at all, just inform us that you wish to postpone via e-mail.
*FAQ: Will your site be imposing any restrictions on numbers?
Answer: Yes. We will reduce booking levels and ensure social distancing is in force. Further information will be available once we are aware of the Governments directives and advice.
To that end we are reaching the limit of our booking levels.
*FAQ: Some sites have closed their toilets, I have a tent. Will your toilets be closed?
Answer: We will allow booked visitors without toilet facilities to use our ablutions. We ask those visitors with their own on board facilities to use these rather than increase numbers and risk within our on site showers and loos.
