We have 25 hardstandings, most can accommodate an awning next to it on a grassed area. A reservoir was put here for a reason, there may be periods of high precipitation when the ground is too soft to accommodate an awning. For this reason we do not allow any vehicles, towing or otherwise to drive or park on the grass.
Electric Hook up
We have 20 electric hook up pitches and 5 non electric pitches. Pitches 1 & 2 are for late night arrivals or guests who have mobility issues and wish to be closer to the ablutions. Pitch numbers 3 -9 offer space for guests not requiring an electric hook up. [The power has been switched off to sockets 3-9]
Pitches 10 - 30 each have electric hook up.
Pitch allocation
We usually allow visitors the opportunity to select their own pitch on arrival.* We cannot guarantee any prior reservation requests, however, we do our best to accommodate such requests.
*During busy times or late night arrivals, staff may need to allocate pitches to suit current conditions.
Multiple pitches
As above, we cannot guarantee, but do our best to ensure you are close or next to each other.
Bridge weight limit
To access the hose for topping up water vehicles will need to drive across our bailey bridge. Be aware this has a 7.5 tonne maximum load. [View the site map if unsure of it's location or impact to your visit]
Water
There is a long hose set up next to the ablutions. Do not move the bollards or cones as this protects the mains water and sewage pipes just beyond from heavy vehicles.
There are two water points amongst the hardstandings. These are for topping up caravan water barrels or other water containers. These should be walked to, please do not drive across the grass to access.
Grey water disposal
We have only one point, near the ablutions. We have a drive over grey waste point for those requiring such a facility. Do not empty grey water around the site. You are ruining the site for those following.
Effluent/cassette toilet disposal
We have a chemical disposal point to empty any effluent. There is hand wash and running water to assist.
Trailer tents/rooftop tents/folding camper
We recommend hardstanding option for such accommodation, select the hardstand with electric. If you do not require electric, refer to the Electric Hook up info above.
